Quick intro... I'm Zena based in Colchester creating Classic modern &Soft glam Bridal Hair & Make up for around 20yrs throughout Suffolk & Essex. Trained as a Hairdresser and Beauty therapist then moving into Bridal and photographic styling.
Mum of two teens and a fluffy Cocker poo (the most demanding one of all!)
When I'm not driving around the counties with my Magic kit to transform bridal parties with hair & make up styling you'll find me attempting to make content to showcase my work (working progress!)
My preference is to take time out to re-set and take in some fresh air & nature in one of the beautiful areas surrounding Suffolk & Essex.
Keen traveller, I enjoy holidays with my family & short trips away. Recently trying out some extreme day trips to experience the culture & make my bucket list smaller. Oh and try the food... don't forget the food!
My Story
From I think around Age 7 I decided I wanted to be a special effects Makeup artist. It just fascinated me and still does to this day.
Wanting to keep my options open, I trained for 3yrs as a Hairdresser & Beauty therapist gaining professional qualifications in City & Guilds and CIBTAC also a trained Wigmaker! Having worked in Hair salons from a young age I quickly realised I had a flair for Hair up and styling.
Gaining work experience with many prestigious companies such as head therapist for a holistic based skin care company in Harrods, I've had a career with both Chanel & Dior. I then moved into Freelancing. This is where I found my passion for Bridal work. My !st job for a BBC producer creating her Bridal look for the day. When I left the venue that morning (and a full BBC film crew filming for her! I realised my passion lies in Bridal work.
So 2006 whilst pregnant with my !st child I set about creating a mobile Bridal Hair and Make up business to allow me more flexibility and continue what I had a passion for. I haven't looked back!

I come with a wealth of knowledge but more importantly a calming, professional approach. Having worked on hundreds of Weddings and in prestigious wedding venues throughout Essex & Suffolk I am super skilled at guiding the mornings preparations to flow in a fun, calming way. On hand for the little touches. Helping with labels, doing up shoes (not easy in a Bridal gown!) to discreetly tidying around to help the photographer get his perfect shot. I'll only apologise in advance I struggle with the reveal to Father of bride. it gets me every time!! But I will pass you one of my tissues.
